This site is built with Astro and served as plain static files: no database, no plugins, nothing to patch. Pages and blog posts are written in Markdown.

Type & colour

Headings are set in Bricolage Grotesque and body text in Figtree, both open-source and self-hosted. The palette is a warm canvas with four flat pastels (mauve, aquamint, peach and sky) doing the work that shadows usually do.

The site follows your device’s light or dark setting. The time-of-day dial at the bottom of every page switches it, and your choice is remembered.

Privacy

No advertising trackers and no cookies. Visits are counted with Vercel Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies or identify you. Messages sent through the chat go straight to our inbox, and the conversation itself is kept only in your browser.
