The print edition stays visible
A paper that still prints needs the front page to sell the paper too. An Editions panel runs down the right with the latest front pages as images, so a reader can see today's paper without leaving the news feed.

The Publisher is a Ghanaian newspaper with a daily print edition and a news site that carries the same masthead. We designed the site, host it and keep it running month to month.

How it's built
Three reading lanes
Most Popular on the left, Top Stories and the section feeds in the middle, Editions and Exchange Rates on the right. Each lane answers a different question, which stops the page becoming one long undifferentiated list.
A two-row masthead
Eleven sections do not fit on one line, so the navigation wraps into a second row in the brand red rather than hiding half of them behind a menu. On a phone it becomes a drawer.

Two separate rails so the newsroom can push stories and readers can find what is being read.
Exchange rates module
A standing data block in the sidebar, useful on a business-heavy news site.

News, Politics, Business, Sports, Entertainment, Education, Health, Editorial, World, Lifestyle and Features.
Short-TTL page cache
Pages cache at the origin for seconds rather than minutes, so a correction goes live almost immediately.
