Every card leads with the question as the headline and shows the reading time beside it. A visitor arriving from search can tell in one glance whether this is the answer they wanted and how long it will take, which is the whole job of an explainer site.
The site ships a theme toggle in the header, so a reader working through a long explainer at night can switch. It is a small thing that signals the site was built rather than assembled.
Images are served as WebP and deferred below the fold, and the page is built on a child theme rather than a stock install, so the markup stays under control. The front page ships noticeably lighter than the news sites we run.
