How much does a website cost in Ghana? 2026 prices
Ask three web designers in Ghana for a price and you can easily get three answers thousands of cedis apart, for what sounds like the same website. Usually they’re quoting for different things: one is quoting a template with your logo on it, another a site designed around your business, with the hosting, security and search set-up done properly.
So here are our prices, what moves them up or down, and the costs that don’t appear in most first quotes.

These are our starting prices in 2026, in Ghana cedis. Clients outside Ghana pay the dollar price. We confirm the final price in writing before any work begins.

A single landing page costs from GH₵3,000: one page that says what you do, shows your work and gets people to call or message you. It suits a new business, an event or a single product. Most business websites land somewhere between 5 and 15 pages.
A larger platform, like a marketplace or a portal with several kinds of users, is priced one phase at a time after a call, because two platforms with the same description can be very different amounts of work.

The number of pages. More pages means more to design, more content to place and more to test on phones. A 5-page site and a 40-page site are different jobs, even when they look alike.
What the site has to do. Each feature is its own piece of work, and each needs testing before launch. With our prices:
- Online payments through Paystack and Mobile Money: GH₵1,000 to 2,000
- Bookings or appointments: GH₵1,000 to 2,500
- Customer accounts and logins: GH₵1,500 to 3,000
- More than one language: GH₵1,000 to 2,500
- Connecting other systems, like accounting software or SMS: GH₵2,000 to 5,000
Who writes the words. Waiting for content is the most common reason a website launches late. If you’d rather we write the words for you, that adds GH₵1,000 to 3,000, depending on how many pages there are.
For shops, the products. Fifty products with a photo and a price are a different job from five hundred with sizes, colours and delivery zones across Ghana. Moving products and pages over from an old site adds GH₵1,000 to 2,500.
WordPress or a custom build. Most business websites suit WordPress, because your team can update it themselves. When the site is really an app, with logins, dashboards or bookings at its core, a custom build is usually the better fit, and it’s priced like one.
Web app or WordPress? How to chooseThe costs people forget
The build is a one-off. A website also has running costs, and it’s better to know them before you start:
- The domain name, renewed every year. Make sure it’s registered in your business’s name, not the designer’s.
- Hosting, paid monthly or yearly, either to a hosting company or to your developer if they host the site. Cheap shared hosting is fine for a small site; a busy site needs more. Ours is from GH₵1,500 a year, or from GH₵150 a month, and rises with the size of the site.
- Business email, usually charged per person per month by providers like Google Workspace, though some have free plans for small teams.
- Premium themes and plugins, whose licences renew each year if you want updates.
- Payment fees. Paystack takes a small percentage of each payment, so it comes out of sales rather than your budget.
- Looking after it. Updates, backups and security checks don’t stop at launch. Our care plans start from GH₵500 a month if you keep your own hosting, or from GH₵750 a month with the hosting included.
Why the cheapest quote can cost the most
A low price isn’t a problem in itself. What matters is what was left out to reach it. The things we see most often when we’re asked to rescue a cheap site:
- Pirated (“nulled”) themes and plugins. They’re free because someone has added their own code, and that code is often a way back in for hackers.
- The domain in the designer’s name. Everything works until you fall out, or they stop answering, and then you can’t renew it, move it or change where it points.
- No backups and no updates. The site works for a year, gets hacked, and there’s nothing clean to restore.
- Slow on mobile data. A heavy theme that looked fine on office Wi-Fi takes ages on a phone, and most of your visitors are on a phone.
A cheap site that has to be rebuilt after a year costs more than a sound one that lasts five.
Is my WordPress site hacked? 10 signs to checkWhat’s included in our price
- A design that works on phones first and loads quickly on mobile data
- WordPress with blocks your team can edit, or a custom build when the job needs one
- Titles, descriptions, a sitemap, structured data and Search Console set up at launch
- HTTPS, security hardening and off-site backups from day one
- The domain registered in your business’s name, and hosting by us or on an account of your own
- A launch date we agree at the start. If we miss it because of a delay on our side, we take 10% off the build
You can pay by Mobile Money (MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash or AT Money), bank transfer in cedis, or card through a Paystack link. Clients abroad can pay in US dollars.
